The new generation of turbofan engines was to provide better performance. The aerodynamic elements were also improved and the weight of the plane was reduced. The interior has been refreshed, passengers have gained a more comfortable space and more space for luggage. Depending on one of the four variants, the Boeing 737 MAX can carry from 138 to 230 passengers. The maximum range of the aircraft is 7,000 km. By March 2019, Boeing had delivered 387 of this aircraft to its customers. In January 2020, Boeing announced the end of production of this model due to a flawed flight stabilization system (MCAS).
